In 1962, Sam'l P. Arnold began the construction of his family's new home. The building was a full sized adobe replica of historic Bent's Fort, site of the 1830's & 40's mountain man rendezvous. As a noted food historian and connoisseur, Sam soon decided to open a restaurant in his new "Fort", and in 1963, began serving authentic food and drink of the early west. Now nationally known and recognized, The Fort continues to thrive as a unique, "one of a kind" dining experience.

We are honored that Sam has chosen Silver Canyon to be the coffee served at The Fort. From long years of experience, he knew exactly what he wanted, and it was great fun to create this special blend with him.
